On August 15, Spain marks the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary — Asunción de la Virgen. It is a public holiday rooted in both religious tradition and cultural identity, celebrated across the country with solemn masses, street processions and family gatherings.

In regions like Galicia and Andalusia, this day is deeply woven into the local rhythm of life. Streets are filled with flowers, churches hold special services, and families pause for a shared meal or a moment of quiet togetherness.

This year, the day holds even more meaning for us in Ukraine.
We want to express our deep gratitude to the Spanish communities who have stood with us since the start of the full-scale war. Cities and villages across Galicia, Andalusia and beyond have:
– opened humanitarian aid centres;
– hosted cultural events for Ukraine;
– created local integration programmes;
– welcomed displaced families with compassion.

At PanteonX, we have witnessed the strength of this solidarity — built not through grand declarations, but through continuous, quiet support.

Let this holiday be a reminder that faith is not only what we believe, but also what we choose to do. And kindness, extended across borders, is one of the most powerful actions we can take.

Gracias, España.
For your care, your action, and your humanity.
